On 5th February 2025, Hon’ble Minister Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Government of Nepal, held a meeting with Hon’ble Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, at New Delhi, India.
Dr. Pariyar, During this high-level meeting, the Hon. Minister discussed the previous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), proposed draft amendments, and potential Government-to-Government (G2G) cooperation. The Indian Minister expressed strong interest in supporting Nepal through the provision of improved sugarcane varieties, the development of an agro-industrial park, and MoU on fertilizer supply in Nepal.
Furthermore, following his participation in the 1st South Asian Agroforestry and Trees Outside Forests Congress held in Delhi, Hon’ble Minister proposed organizing the next conference in Nepal.
